SPARKS, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- A man has been arrested after attempting to rob a 7-Eleven on Pyramid Way.

According to a press release, Sparks Police responded to a call of a possible robbery in progress at about 6 p.m. on Tuesday. As officers were en route, information was given that indicated that there was a male inside the store acting in a bizarre fashion. He had asked for a cab, then said he was "losing it," and asked staff in the store to call 911.

Then, the suspect grabbed a bottle of alcohol and began to drink it. During this time, the male pulled a large kitchen or butcher knife and began to wield it toward the staff and patrons inside, eventually corralling them behind a counter.

As the staff evacuated the store, officers entered the store and detained the man. He was identified as 38-year-old Johnnie Ironcloud. No one was injured in the incident.

Ironcloud was arrested and charged with Robbery with a Deadly Weapon. His bail was set at $40,000.
