RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- After more than a month, the Reno Police Department has made an arrest in the hit and run in south Reno that left 25-year-old Gabriel Kennedy with serious injuries, including an amputated leg, on May 8.
40-year-old Myree Townsend has been booked at Washoe County Jail on charges of Hit and Run causing Substantial Bodily Injury, which is a felony crime.
Townsend, who turned herself in on May 22, had not been arrested until Tuesday, because the investigation was still ongoing. Reno Police said she has been cooperative with their investigation.
In a press release, the Reno Police Department thanked the community for all of their efforts in trying to locate the suspect and vehicle after the incident.
