FALLON, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Multi-award-winning pencil and oil artist Charlie Van Troba is one of two artists premiering a month-long show at the Rising Sun Gallery and Art Studios in Fallon October 4. A large portion of the proceeds will go to support arts classes and programs for Churchill County students.

Van Troba has won numerous awards from the Heldorado Western Art Shows in 1994 and 95 through the Winnemucca Buckaroo Art Show in 2000. National exhibits include George Phippen Western Art Show in Prescott, Arizona and Nebraska Land Days Governor’s Art Show in North Platte, Nebraska.

Also on the bill,  former television news anchor Bill Brown will have more than 20 pieces of his wildlife art for sale. All of the profits from Brown’s mixed media work will be do-nated to the gallery’s low cost arts programs for children from all income levels in Fallon.

A “meet the artist” reception is scheduled for Saturday, October 5 from 6 to 10 PM at the gallery. Everyone is encouraged to attend. Donations for the children’s art programs will be gratefully accepted.

For more information call 775 294-4135 or visit the Rising Sun Gallery and Art Studios at 203 S. Main Streets, Fallon, Nevada.
