Question:
From the Ask Joe file, one of our viewers has a question about a road construction project that has impacted a lot of people over the past year.
Chuck Carpenter wrote in asking if there is any update on the West Plumb Lane construction project? Chuck said he recalls that it was supposed to be finished by last Thanksgiving.

Answer:
This is a $6.5 million project that started back in July 2013. It's been a major undertaking. Crews have replaced the road itself, and installed new sewer lines, curbs and a multi-use trail.
So, when is it all going to be done? Joe checked with Michael Moreno at the Regional Transportation Commission, and he gave some very good news. RTC plans to finish up the work on Friday, and have things back to normal by Monday.
We should point out the project is on schedule. Most of the work was completed around Thanksgiving. Since then, it has been mostly landscape work and some striping. But the bottom line is they are wrapping things up and your Plumb Lane commute should be back to normal next week, with a grand opening slated for April 29.
