From the Ask Joe file, we are following up on a viewer's question about an unsafe situation the roads.

Kevin Ashton wrote in last month about why drivers were allowed to ignore a stop sign at Damonte Ranch Parkway and Old Virginia Street in south Reno?

Kevin also posted a YouTube video showing car after car ignoring the stop sign and rolling through the intersection, a situation that was not very safe.

There is good news to report. Joe stopped by the intersection on Thursday afternoon, and the City of Reno has replaced the stop sign with a yield sign. Now, pedestrians and other drivers will not be expecting drivers to stop.

Bill Gall works in the city's Community Development Department, and he said the city worked with NDOT and the developer to come up with a better solution. Hopefully, the intersection is safer for everyone now that the new sign has been installed.
