Question:
From the Ask Joe File one of our viewers has a question about some police activity in his neighborhood recently.
Steve Desch wrote in saying there were a lot of police cars racing around the streets of the Del Webb Community  near Somersett last Friday night June 28th around midnight.   He wants to know what it was all about.
He says he and his wife are old and they don't fall asleep that easy when so much commotion is happening.

Answer:
Steve, I did a little research on this and found out there was a chase involving a number of different police agencies and that's what the commotion was about.
The chase started over the hill when a carjacking was reported in Nyack California.   The suspect led authorities into Reno where NHP, Reno Police and the Washoe County Sheriff all got involved.  The suspect was eventually stopped on Del Webb Parkway..
And just to satisfy your curiosity the suspect was 29 year old Michael Grimes.  He was taken into custody and booked in the Washoe County Jail for the carjacking.
So that's what all the commotion was about last weekend.  With four different agencies involved there were quite a few officers who responded, so its understandable that people would have some questions about what was going on.

They were making sure that you would be safe? Doing their job? Hope you weren't offended by that? It was the perp's fault.
