Question:
Virginia wrote in to point out the west end of Plumb Lane has been closed for months.  She wants to know what they're doing and when will Plumb be open all the way through again?

Answer:
The Regional Transportation Commission is working on that project. They are replacing storm drains, sewer pipes  and repaving the road itself.
Here's a timeline of the project we found on the RTC website:
The storm drain construction is now complete.
During October and November they'll be replacing the curb, gutters and pathways on west Plumb Lane.
The repaving will be done in November.
And then the finishing touches, landscaping and fencing will be done  in November and December.
Of course this schedule depends on the weather.
But if all goes well the road should be finished and open to traffic again by the first of January.
