The Reno Rodeo was a big success this year, and one of our viewers has a question about what happens when the rodeo wraps up.

Amanda wrote in asking what happens to the cattle after the rodeo finishes its run?

Joe asked Steve Schroeder, who handles public relations for the rodeo. Schroeder said some of the horses and bulls get transported to their home ranch in Marysville, California after the Reno Rodeo.

However, others stay on the rodeo circuit. The next stop after the Reno Rodeo is the Folsom Rodeo, outside of Sacramento. There are also a couple events in Utah, another in Salinas and one in Paso Robles, California.

The rodeo circuit continues until December, when the National Finals Rodeo is held in Las Vegas.

Schroeder said it was a great year for the rodeo. They sold a record number of tickets, 82,000 over the ten days the event was held, which is a four-percent increase over last year.
