From the Ask Joe File one of our viewers called in with a question about something he saw on TV over the weekend.
Brett Bernard called me this week and said he was watching the Mayweather boxing match on Charter Pay Per View on Saturday night when all of the sudden the boxing was interrupted by some explicit pornography on the screen. Brett wants to know how this happened ?
This was an awkward phone call to make but I talked to John Miller at Charter Communications. He looked into it and confirmed that yes, they did have a mistake that caused a pornographic movie scene to air accidentally during the middle of the Pay Per View boxing match.
The pornography aired for about 20 seconds in the Reno area, according to Charter.
What happened is there was a problem with the satellite signal for the boxing match and when a technician switched to a different signal, well, let's just say the wrong channel came up, and so did a whole lot of skin !
Charter apologizes for the mistake. Unfortunately it's the kind of thing that can happen on occasion when they are switching signals during a live event. But the company says they do their best to avoid it. And again they apologize to customers for the mistake that happened Saturday night.
