From the Ask Joe file a viewer has written in with a question about the upcoming political campaign.
Linda Meyers wrote in asking do we know who the democratic candidate for governor is going to be for the november 2014 election ?

Great question Linda. Of course Republican Governor Brian Sandoval is running for re-election and has already raised three million dollars for his campaign.
Who is going to take him on ?
I checked with political science professor Eric Herzik up at UNR.
Herzik says there's a possible candidate down south in Clark County Commissioner Steve Sisolak.  Sisolak has reportedly indicated he's considering his options but hasn't committed one way or the other.  State Senator Tick Segerblom has also indicated he might be interested, if no one else is running. Segerblom is known as a liberal lawmaker who represents district three in las vegas.
But that's about it. clearly the Governor is the front runner and the favorite as the incumbent but Herzik did say if Sisolak gets in the race expect a fierce campaign which could really develop into a battle between the North and South.
But again no one has jumped in yet, and the clock is ticking: the filing deadline is coming up in March.
