TONOPAH, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Tonopah Field Office is seeking public comments associated with the issuance of a Special Recreation Permit to conduct guided backcountry vehicle tours in portions of the Battle Mountain and Carson City Districts. The proposed action would be to issue a permit to Zero One Odysseys, LLC, to conduct off-highway vehicle tours for a one-year period on existing roads in portions of Nye, Esmeralda, Mineral, Churchill and Lander counties.
The comment period begins July 9 and ends August 8, 2012. Written comments received during this 30-day period will be analyzed and considered during the decision-making process. The preliminary environmental assessment may be viewed
