Bill seeks drug testing for public assistance

Drug testing would be required to receive public assistance in Nevada under a bill introduced in the Nevada Senate.

Here is the problem I see with this. These people need public assistance, now if they have a drug problem and are told they need 30 days of treatment, who is footing the bill for that as well?

Works for me. You must pass a drug test to hold a job. You should be required to pass a monthly drug test to get and to continue getting government assistance? If you are strung out on drugs you are not in a condition to look for or accept employment. If you will not try to help yourself why should I try to help you? Added Comment - I would like to see a mandatory three months jail sentence for first offense DUI, six months for second offense DUI and one year for third offense. On forth offense I would put them in jail for five years. Might help with the DUI problem.

Not only these individuals, but all City, County and State employees along with ALL ELECTED OFFICIALS!

It's worth a try. So many parents stay on assistance while the kids suffer in many ways. Been there.
