CARSON CITY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- A bill being pushed by a Las Vegas lawmaker could increase early detection of breast cancer.
Assemblyman James Orhenschall presented Assembly Bill 147 to the Health and Human Services Committee today.
The bill would mandate doctors inform patients if they have dense breast tissue and then recommend further action including extra testing if necessary.
Doctors who testified before the committee say the bill would increase early diagnosis and decrease the rate of death by breast cancer.
