6:30pm - Several Blocks of downtown Elko were evacuated and streets closed for about two hours Monday Afternoon as the Elko Bomb Squad closed in on a suspicious device. Captain Will Lehmann said officers used a robotic device to explode what appeared to be a pipe bomb. No injuries reported. Police are continuing their investigation.
ELKO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Elko Police have closed off 5th Street between Idaho & Silver as crews investigate a possible pipe bomb in the UPS drop box in front of Nevada State Bank.
