CARSON CITY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- The National Register of Historic Places amended the significance of Bowers Mansion on March 6, 2013.
Initially listed in 1976, the amendment elevates the Mansion from local to national significance. The National Register is the nation’s official list of cultural resources worthy of preservation.
Constructed between 1862 and 1863, Bowers Mansion is located on old highway 395 in Washoe City, Nevada.
