Brewers sign Overbay to minor league deal

Reno, NV (MyNews4.com) -- The Milwaukee Brewers have signed former Wolf Pack star Lyle Overbay to a minor league deal with an invite to spring training.  He returns to the Brewers where he was the team's starting first baseman in 2004 and 2005.

Overbay spent last season with the New York Yankees where he batted .240 with 14 home runs and 59 RBI in 142 games played.  Over his 13-year career, Overbay has hit .267 with 342 doubles, 147 home runs and 640 RBI in 1,446 games.
