Brush Fire in Verdi controlled

UPDATE: 11:15AM - According to Tim Leighton, Division Chief with the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection,the fire was started by an abandoned campfire, located between Hill Lane and Dog Valley Road.

The fire was in the state of California, but Truckee Meadows responded and helped put out the fire.



UPDATE: The fire was knocked down shortly before 7:00am.









Reno, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com)-- News 4 Photographer Kausik Bhatka confirms a roughly three acre brush fire is burning off of Dog Valley Rd. in Verdi, Nev.

No homes appear to be threatened.
