RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Six lucky Wolf Pack fans will get the chance to shoot the cannon at the end of the National Anthem during Wolf Pack Football’s 2014 season home games thanks to Bully’s Sports Bar & Grill.

Bully's says they are expanding on their tradition of honoring those who serve, and extending this year’s invitation to first responders in addition to military members. From now through Nov. 15, active duty, honorable discharge, retired military, family of deceased military members, and now first responders are encouraged to share the reasons why they would like to kick-off a home game with the famed cannon shot.

“Bully’s decided to take the cannon-shot giveaway in a new direction a few years back, after hearing some of the impactful, emotional stories we received during other contests we’ve hosted,” explained Bully’s Owner Jo Sonner. “The giveaways were initially designed as a customer appreciation program, and what better way to thank those customers of ours who have served this country and those who serve our community than to give them a chance to be a part of their favorite college football team.”

Entries are being accepted now at BullysSportsBar.com, and winners will be announced in time for the first home game. Winners will receive two tickets to the game, sideline access to shoot the cannon prior to kickoff, and a commemorative photo. Entries are accepted through Saturday, Nov. 15 -- home games are scheduled to take place Aug. 30 against Southern Utah University, Sept. 5 against Washington State, Oct. 4 against Boise State, Oct. 11 against Colorado State, Nov. 1 against San Diego State and Nov. 22 against Fresno State.
