RENO, Nev. (Mynews4.com & KRNV) -- An alert resident helped catch a suspect responsible for a commercial burglary, according to the Reno Police Department.

RPD told News 4 a neighbor heard someone banging on the window of Fine Vines just before 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night. A window was broken in the wine store on the 6300 block of Mae Anne Avenue in northwest Reno.

After breaking the window, a man took money from the cash register, along with electronics in the store, and ran away, according to RPD. The suspect was spotted running through several backyards and police finally caught up to him after he ran into his own home.

It was there that police arrested 53-year-old Kevin Mullen and recovered most of what was stolen. Mullen was booked into the Washoe County Jail on burglary and possession of stolen property.
