RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) --The Committee To Aid Abused Women (CAAW) received a $50,925 grant from the Nevada Women's Fund Giving Circle.

The grant will  be used to fund project "Next Step", a project deigned to help in the transition between CAAW's supportive housing programs and independent sustainable community living.

CAAW is a non-profit organization that provides free confidential services in an effort to bring an end to family violence in Washoe County.

Isabelle Rodriguez Wilson, the President and CEO of The Nevada Women's Fund says women involved search for organizations to receive this grant, and they chose CAAW.

"When you look at women who are not only very encouraged but actually excited about that next step it's a thrill for us too, so it's a win win for both circumstances," says Wilson.

Since 2008, the donation to CAAW bring NWF Giving Circle Awards to more than $620,000 to local area non-profits to help the NWF reach its mission of inspiring achievement.
