(KRNV & MyNews4.com)--The Spanish Springs Presbyterian Church is organizing a candle light vigil for Bob Sperry who was shot and killed at a Bank of America. on S. Virginia St. and Neil Lane last Wednesday, Oct. 16.
The Candle Vigil will be held at 5 p.m. today, Oct. 20 at the Bank of America on S. Virginia St. and Neil Lane last Wednesday, Oct. 16.
The Sperry Family have blessed this gesture and military officers from around the area are expected to show up to pay their respects.
The Church is setting up a "Sperry Memorial Fund" at the Bank of America to support Sperry's family.
The suspect in the shooting, Van McDuffie has had a history of violating parole and the judge decided not to allow him to be release on bail. His next court hearing is scheduled for October 31st.
