Reno, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- A candlelight vigil was held tonight, December 19, 2013 to honor and remember the victims of the deadly shooting on the Renown campus two days ago.
“I wanted you all to know that not only is he a great Doctor, but he’s a great Dad, a great husband, a great friend,” says Dr. Peter Lim.
Dr. Gholdoian was a man of many talents, his friend and colleague Dr. Lim, bragged about Dr. G’s cooking talents and love of wine. Dr. Lim also shed light on a battle not everyone knew Dr. Gholdoian fought, “He beat cancer himself, when he was in medical school.”
Dozens of patients, colleagues and friends gathered to remember a man who touched numerous lives and to support the family he left behind. As those closest to Dr. Gholdoian mourned his loss, they also expressed their frustration with how his life was taken.
“When are we as Americans going to stand up to his kind of violence and take some action against it,” asked Greg Dean, Dr. Gholdoian’s brother-in-law.
Dr. Lim shared the same frustration, “I’m angry, I agree with what Greg says we’ve got to stop this madness.”
A sentiment echoed by many northern Nevadans in the wake of yet another deadly shooting.
