SPARKS, Nev. (AP) — Sparks police say nobody was injured when a driver who was trying to park her vehicle crashed at an apartment.
Officers say a 46-year-old old woman from Sparks was trying to park at a complex on Lincoln Way Sunday when she failed to stop. Police say her vehicle hit an air conditioner connected to one of the apartments and pushed it into a living room.
Authorities say the air conditioner struck a child inside the apartment.
Emergency crews say they checked on the people inside the apartment and found nobody was hurt. They say they were also checking on structural damage to the apartment.
The woman has been cited for careless driving, but police say they don't believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
