CARSON CITY, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- Leonardo Cardoza has been found guilty of first-degree murder in the death of Desiree Bragg.

According to Nevada Appeal, the jury reached the verdict around 9 p.m. on Thursday. Cardoza faces a potential sentence of life in prison, without the possibility of parole.

According to the Carson City Sheriff's Office, Cardoza followed Bragg and her fiancee to her mother's house in January 2013, and slammed his van into her. The van pinned Bragg between the vehicle and the house. Bragg later died at Renown Regional Medical Center.

Cardoza is also charged with attempted murder in the attack on Bragg's fiancee. Cardoza has pleaded not guilty to that charge.
