MINDEN, Nev. (AP) — Douglas County authorities are looking for suspects who splashed nail- and glass-laced paint on parked cars in a Minden neighborhood.

Vehicles at eight houses in the Stephanie Way neighborhood were hit over the weekend.

Jennifer Kirkland says she was shocked Sunday morning when she discovered someone had splashed paint on her SUV in the driveway. Nails in the paint mixture added insult to injury.

A neighbor several doors down had two Mustangs vandalized.

Victims say it will cost them thousands of dollars to have their vehicles repaired and repainted.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is hoping someone may have seen someone in the area late Saturday or early Sunday morning, and Secret Witness is offering a reward for information leading to an arrest and prosecution.
