CARSON CITY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- One Carson City Sheriff's Deputy suffered a broken hand and three others were injured trying to subdue a combative man, according to Sheriff Kenny Furlong.

Furlong says the man was either drunk or on drugs in a Carson City neighborhood. Two officers tried to subdue him, but could not. Two others were called in for backup and tased the combative man and hit him with batons. Those four officers were all injured with scrapes and bruises, but one was transported to the hospital for a possible broken hand. Three more officers were called in for backup, when the man was held down and cuffed, Furlong says.

Paramedics sedated him, and he is in custody.
