CARSON CITY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Some Carson City firefighters traded in their fireman hats for Santa caps today to help out area children in need.
Earlier this morning, the Carson City Firefighters Association went on a shopping spree at Walmart to buy toys for the Salvation Army Christmas Assistance Program.
The firefighters got to spend about $3,000 they raised while playing Santa, a role they enjoy playing every year.
Today's shopping spree marks the 31st year that the Firefighters Association has partnered with the Salvation Army's Christmas Program.
