CARSON CITY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Carson Valley Medical Center is offering discounted heart health services, seeing as February is Healthy Heart Month.
Discounted services include:
A lipid panel that includes HDL and LDL cholesterol and triglycerides for $10. This labwork requires 8-10 hour fasting. No appointment is necessary for the lipid panel.
A CT calcium scoring for $100. This is a painless and low-dose computed tomography (CT) exam to help you assess your risk for heart disease.
A Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) ultrasound screening for $20. This screening measures the flow of blood through your arteries and detect risk of heart disease or stroke.
A vascular screening for $99 that includes a test for hypertension, screening for peripheral artery disease, an ultrasound of the abdominal aorta, and an ultrasound of the carotid arteries.
The CT calcium scoring, PAD screening and vascular screening all require an appointment. Please call the CVMC Medical Imaging Department at (775) 782-1533 to schedule an appointment.
Discounted prices are available for these services during the month of February 2013. No insurances will be billed and payment must be made at time of service. No physician order is necessary.
