CARSON CITY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- A Carson City man is facing a felony charge of indecent exposure for allegedly masturbating in a parked car outside a store in the 4200 block of South Carson Street, says Sgt. McDaniel from the Carson City Sheriff’s Office.

According to the arrest report, three female witnesses said that as they were leaving the store around 6:45 p.m., yesterday they saw Joel Avalos-Lopez, 37, parked next to them in a red Ford Ranger pickup with Nevada license plates. McDaniel says they each reported seeing the man masturbating inside the pickup with the windows down.

The man was found at the 1000 block of Tamarisk Street after officers traced his license plate to the residence.

Officers spoke with the man who told them that he works maintenance in South Lake Tahoe and had been raking pine needles that day and said that he itched and thought he had "ants in his pants," according to the arrest report. Avalos-Lopez denied ever exposing himself.

McDaniel says one of the witnesses provided officers a cell phone video of the man smiling and then leaving the location. She was advised to keep the video of the event in case it is needed by the Carson City DA's office, the arrest report states.

Avalos-Lopez was released on $5,000 bail.
