RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- The first of two Reno Sparks Cash Mob events happens tomorrow, Dec. 11 from 10am-6pm at Learning Express Toys of Reno. This is the first time the grassroots economic stimulus campaign has mobbed a business with multiple locations.
Learning Express Toys of Reno have two locations and both will participate in the Ca$h Mob. The locations are Southtowne Center at 197 Damonte Ranch Pkwy Ste D and in northwest Reno at 5110 Mae Anne Ave. near Petsmart.
The second Holiday Ca$h Mob, on Dec. 18 is at Maytan Music Center at 777 South Center Street.
Here’s how The Ca$h Mob works; Locals are asked to find 'Reno Sparks Cash Mob' on Facebook and 'like', then invite friends to do the same. Mobbers also post suggestions to the group for favorite locally-owned businesses. They go into the suggestion pool for the next scheduled mobs.
Ca$h Mobs are monthly local events and a way for northern Nevada consumers to support their neighbors by pledging to spend $10-20 at a particular local business on a specific day once per month.
