Cashells to receive humanitarian award

RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Reno mayor Bob Cashell and his wife are expected to receive a special award today.

Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada and the Saint Vincent's programs will present the Cashells with their annual humanitarian award.

The award will be presented at this year's 'Plates to Ease Poverty' Dinner.

The mayor and his wife were chosen for their undying support for the poor and homeless population in northern Nevada.

The dinner begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Atlantis Hotel Casino in Reno.
