LAS VEGAS (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- According to a tweet from Jon Ralston, a 'Celebration of Life' honoring former News 4 owner Jim Rogers will be held on Saturday, June 21 at 4 p.m. in the Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The event is open to the public.

Jim Rogers passed away Saturday evening after a long battle with cancer. The former NSHE interim chancellor -- who was named among the top 12 philanthropists by Time magazine for his generosity toward education -- leaves behind a wife, Beverly Rogers, three children, and eight grandchildren.
