Secret Witness is offering a reward in the amount of $1,000.00 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect wanted.

Reno, NV (KRNV & Sparks Police are on the lookout for a man who attempted to lure a child into his car early this morning.

According to officials with SPD, Police were called to the 500 block of Sullivan Lane over the weekend on a report of child luring.

A 15-year-old Sparks resident reported that a man had attempted to lure her into his car while she was walking south on Sullivan Lane. He first drove along side the girl, asking to give her a ride, then followed her to the apartment complex at 500 Sullivan Ln., where he exited his vehicle and again asked to give her a ride.

The 15-year-old did not respond to either request and returned safely home by entering the gated apartment complex. The driver and vehicle then fled the scene.

The vehicle is described as a gold 4-door SUV with Nevada license plates. The driver is described as a black male adult between 30 and 40-years-old, roughly 6 feet tall and weighing around 160-170 pounds, with a collar length cornrows with a slight southern accent.

The Sparks Police Department is asking that anyone who might have witnessed the incident or may have information that could assist in identifying the suspect to contact the Sparks Police Department Detective Section at 353-2225 or Secret Witness at 322-4900
