RENO, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- The City of Reno wants residents to weigh in on the future of the former Northgate Golf Course property, and the proposed plans to turn it into a community park.

Tentative plans for Sierra Vista Park in northwest Reno include a network of non-motorized trails around the property. However, there are opportunities for other outdoor recreation and potential reuse of the former clubhouse.

The city is hosting open houses on-site this week to present design options and answer questions for residents. City officials said there is a lot of opportunity for the 200+ acres of land.
