RENO, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- The City of Reno is holding a Special Budget Meeting to address financial concerns in the wake of a Judge's injunction to stop the layoff of 34 Reno Firefighters.

One of the departments that is taking a cut is the Police Department. According to Chief Stephen Pitts, the Reno PD is taking a 10% cut by delaying 13 new officer hires by two months. Police Dispatch will also see a delay to fill six vacant positions.

For a full summary of what the city plans to cut, see the attached document.

the city owns the equipment and housing, dismantle the rfd union and start over. No one expects the firefighters to work for pennies but what their current salary is, is rediculous
