RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- The City of Reno is holding a Special Budget Meeting to address financial concerns in the wake of a Judge's injunction to stop the layoff of 34 Reno Firefighters.
One of the departments that is taking a cut is the Police Department. According to Chief Stephen Pitts, the Reno PD is taking a 10% cut by delaying 13 new officer hires by two months. Police Dispatch will also see a delay to fill six vacant positions.
