City of Reno hosts David Wise Parade of Champions

RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- The City of Reno will host a Parade of Champions for Olympic Gold medalist David Wise beginning at 5 p.m. in downtown Reno Saturday.

The parade will start Saturday evening with Wise being escorted through the town and end at the Aces ballpark around 5:40 p.m.

The parade route will head west from the corner of Center and Fourth streets, continue south on Virginia Street, head east on second street, then move north on Evans avenue to the ballpark. The Reno Police Honor Guard will be at the Virginia Street Reno arch.

Wise will be signing autographs inside Aces Ballpark in addition to throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at the game, which is scheduled to begin at 6:35 p.m. Residents can expect some street closures downtown during the event.
