SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- The 25th annual 'Lake in the Sky Air Show' at Lake Tahoe Airport has been described as “the best in the west” by one of its many professional aerial participants, according to a press release sent by South Lake Tahoe PIO Tracy Franklin.
The show is slated to include sky divers, War Birds, classic cars, police dog K9 demonstrations, a bomb robot, helicopters, fire trucks along with aerobatic performances by top performers Bill Cornick, Jon Melby and Spencer Suderman.
Young Eagles flights are scheduled for Sunday, September 21st. Sign-ups for the flights will take place on the day of the Air Show, Saturday, September 20th.
Gates will open to the public on Saturday, September 20th at 8 a.m., while the aerial performances kick off at 9:30 a.m. and run until 4 p.m. Opening ceremonies are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., with a few words from Mayor Pro Tem Brooke Laine.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids, and free for youth 5-years-old and younger. Discounted tickets will also be available online. Free transportation will be provided from the South Y transit center to Lake Tahoe Airport.
