The City of Sparks in anticipation of flooding in the Industrial area, generally the area south of Interstate 80 east of Highway 395 to Vista Boulevard, will be closing all roads in this area. All traffic signals will also be turned off as the electric boxes will be removed for preservation.
Sandbag locations within the Industrial area of Sparks will be closed at 10am Sunday. For other sandbag locations please refer to www.cityofsparks.us These areas have sand, be prepared to fill your own sandbags.
The Sparks Police Department continues to inform and request those within the respective area for voluntary evacuations. An evacuation center has been set up at Sparks High School.
