Sparks, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com)-- A clerk at the Food Mart on Pyramid Way was pepper sprayed during a robbery early on Sunday, December 30th.
Sparks Police say they received a 911 call from a customer in the Food Mart at 2191 Pyramid way at around 1:30 a.m. The customer reported that a clerk in the Mart had been pepper sprayed. When police arrived on scene, witnesses reported that four Latino males had been attempting to steal several cases of beer. When the clerk confronted the robbers, one of them sprayed him. All of the suspects escaped before police arrived at the mart. Remsa treated the clerk on scene.
According to a press release from the police, one of the suspects, a 16 year old Sparks resident, was identified from the video surveillance tapes. The other three suspects are still unknown, but they are described as Latino males in their late teens or early twenties wearing blue or black sweatshirts.
