Cold Springs Stabbing Sends 1 to Hospital

UPDATE 9/6/13 10:45 P.M. -- Police served a search warrant tonight related to Wednesday's stabbing near a 7-11 in Cold Springs. According to Bob Harmon with the Washoe County Sheriff's Office, a search warrant was served at a home on Sandpiper Drive and Mockingbird Drive around 8 this evening. Swat was present at the scene to assist with any possible problems; however no one was home at the time. The warrant was in connection with a stabbing that happened at 1:45 Wednesday
morning.
The victim's condition is unknown. This was one of a series of stabbings that occurred around the same time however, this incident is not considered to be connected to the other stabbings around Reno.

COLD SPRINGS, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) – Washoe County Sheriff's Deputies say a man was stabbed near the 7-11 on 3431 White Lake Parkway in Cold Springs.

Deputies say the stabbing happened at around 1:45 this morning at a nearby skatepark sending one man to Renown Regional Medical Center.

The extent of his injuries are unknown at this time.

Deputies say they do have a suspect description of a black or Hispanic male in his 20’s. Washoe County Sheriff's Deputies are still investigating and if you have any information about this stabbing you can call Secret Witness at 322-4900 or text a tip to 847-411.
