SPARKS, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- Seven local bands took to the stage in Sparks this Sunday for a good cause.

Great Basin Brewery in Sparks played host to a benefit concert to help spread awareness for Mary Anne Novello-Stefani, who was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor and has not been able to work since treatment began.

Ten percent of all food and beverage sales during the event have gone on to support her treatments. Supporters -- such as event organizer Danny Butler -- say the community is eager to help.

"[She] was diagnosed with brain cancer... has three kids and a family... [this is about] the community coming together to help someone with a terrible disease," Butler said.

A silent auction, raffle, and wristbands were also available for purchase at the event. Funds raised will go toward Mary Anne's rising medical bills and transportation costs.
