CARSON CITY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Convicted murderer Simon Macias might be granted parole.
Macias murdered his 19-year-old wife Susan Nicoletti 22 years ago.
This morning, he had a hearing in front of the parole board in Carson City to plead his case for parole. His family and Susan Nicoletti's family both testified this morning, and at times, the testimony got heated between the two families.
Simon Macias testified before the board via closed circuit television, saying he's rehabilitated and would not commit another crime.
The parole board hopes to have their decision within the next few weeks.
