FALLON, Nev. (AP) — Churchill County sheriff's deputies say a Fallon man took his life after shooting and wounding his former girlfriend earlier in the day.
Investigators say the body of 56-year-old J.B. Williams was found inside a Fallon home after a sheriff's SWAT team entered it late Friday afternoon.
Williams is accused of shooting 42-year-old Leslie Come-Bowen at the home earlier Friday afternoon. She was taken to a Reno hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
Deputies say Williams came to the woman's house so he could pick up some personal property.
They say negotiators repeatedly tried to talk him out of the house before he apparently turned a handgun on himself.
