SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- El Dorado County prosecutors have cleared South Lake Tahoe Councilwoman Angela Swanson of any wrongdoing after a bribery investigation. Swanson was accused of accepting cash from Marijuana Dispensary Owner, "Gino" Dimatteo.

According to the Tahoe Daily Tribune, Dimatto made an $1,100 donation to the Lake Tahoe Educational Foundation, a charity in which Swanson is involved. Some accused the donation of being a form of a bribe.

However, an investigation proved that although it's clear Dimatteo believed he was trying to bribe Swanson, it did not have an impact on Swanson's vote. The case is now considered closed.
