UPDATE - 6:22PM - Fire crews say the fire was just over two acres in size. The fire was in light fuels – a mixture of low lying grass in a cow pasture.

Crews believer that this fire started as a result of a legal permitted ditch burning that occurred on April 27th. The ditch burning on April 27th was believed to be completely extinguished, but may have had some hot embers burning below the thick grass and cow droppings, which kept hot and ignited when the wind, humidity, and heat became a perfect trifecta.

UPDATE - 3:33PM - Fire crews say the fire has been cleaned up and is no longer burning.
