VIRGINIA CITY, NV (Mynews4.com & KRNV) -  A local wild horse preservation group is facing three misdemeanor charges filed with the Storey County District Attorney's office this week. The criminal complaint lists the Let 'Em Run Foundation, with Failure to brand or mark animals grazing on open range, abandoning an animal and causing or allowing an animal to be unjustifiably injured and/or to be deprived of necessary food or drink; all misdemeanor offenses.

According to a report done by the Nevada Department of Agriculture, eight horses were adopted by the foundation in Carson City in December 2011.  Those horses were transported to property owned by Lance Gilman in Storey County where they were let out on what was supposed to be properly fenced in private land.  Ed Foster,, Spokesperson with the Department of Agriculture, says the horses should have been branded by the new owner and were not. He also says one of the horses got out and they found it near McCarren and Clear Water Way in Reno.

Lacy J. Dalton runs the Let 'Em Run Foundation. She was not available and did not return our phone calls prior to the airing of this story. Willis Lamm and Shirley Allen are also listed as Defendants. They were in Carson City today during a demonstration against the capturing and selling of Virginia Range wild horses.  They say this complaint is unjustified.

big ole thank you to the owner of the livestock auction in Fallon and the NDOA! thanks to your good ole boy activities, the wild horse advocates got to pay 3 times over market for the wild horses! $11,000 for 22 wild horses! and, the NDOA felt the need to come armed with guns and handcuffs!!! Really? Somehow, I don't think this issue is over; stay tuned!

What is wrong with you Mr. Fields? It's obvious that you can't spell but can't you read? I don't see anywhere in that article where they mention your 'foundation'. So get off your high horse and stay out of our business. Your so called foundation has nothing to do with this. Although you do protest too much. Do you have something to hide?

Its amazing how the station will not post" Crimnal complaint filed against Let Em' Run Foundation", they elude to a wild horse advocay group now. Just stop using our name immediately, remove all phrases, wild horse foundation. Its copyrighted and our legal business name. Why are ya'll protecting the name of the accussed. Say it, with meaning and gusto. Lacy J. Dalton and the crew want the horses left alone. Leave us out of the dog fight. Remove our name or be sued tomorrow for liable and slander. Your reporter get your facts straight. www.wildhorsefoundation.org

Wild Horse Foundation has always at request taken the nevada Wild Horses in and place them in homes without regard to service from groups, individuals or agencies. If you check you facts you will note that the BLM orginally left these horses in these areas as part of the abandonment program efforts leaving these Virginia Hills wild horses without care or concern. Why don't just lease all the land you can around these areas and move the horses to the lands leased or owned by private individuals then work out a agreement ro have non-profits come in and remove the weanlings, yearlings and place them up for adoption. Attrition only happens at uncontrolable rates when theres proper forage and feed. By maintainig the correct aum's in areas you essentially control the rate of attrition naturally. I don't this Barbee fella but as long as you place a cattleman or tree hugger in that post you will always have a fight. When you place a true leader who sets out goals and acheives them then you have a working relationship that benefits all. You can acheive the goal of minimal standards if you truly have leadership. Not some democrat or republican but a leader who understands the economic viability of lands and natural resources. The moon will rise and the sun will set when we're all gone, earth will keep on making gas and oil while we're all in our graves and somebody else will take up our fights but unless we create a tablet of wins and losses to be passed down to the next generation they will contiun to spin there wheels and loose as many have before us. History repeats itself but we can change the outcome if we're all smart. www.wildhorsefoundation.org

Wild Horse Foundation has nothing to do with the crimnal misdeameanor complaints filed against Lacy J. Dalton, "Let Em' Run Foundation" or Willis Lamm and Shirley Allen of KBRHorse, LRTC Concepts, residents of Nevada. Wild Horse Foundation has prior years accepted Nevada Department of Agriculture wild horses and placed them into adoptive homes. Clarification was requested by Ray Field of the Wild Horse Foundation, a registered 501 c-3 non profit organization to have KNRV remove any wording or connection to this crimnal act. Brief discussion with KNRV legal counsel Doug Hill and Ray Field was discussed at 2:10 pm central standard time for the correction. KNRV is slandering a 3rd party in its reporting error. Mr. Field requested to have immediate action taken or legal proceedings would follow. contact Doug Hill at dhill@knrv.com or Ray Field at grfield@wildhorsefoundation.org for further clarification. Wild Horse Foundation is the largest wild horse adoption facility in the United States devoting 100% of its resources to finding homes for all wild horses from several government agencies. The Wild Horse Foundation does not encourage or promote the removal of wild horses from its legally authorized lands established in 1971 under the Wild Horse and Burro Act. No government agency has the single power to removed tax payer property or use them for profit for experimental drugs or commerical use. All federal range lands should be publicly bid on for all tax payers to have the exclusive use. visit us: www.wildhorsefoundation.org

Willis Lamm alone is the reason the Dept of Ag cancelled all of the advocacy groups cooperative agreements. He thinks he is above the law and refuses to follow any rules set down by the NRS or the dept of Ag. He is the cause of all of the problems, he is the reason we can't do any more adoptions. He and he alone screwed all of the other advocacy groups only they don't even realize it. Every time a wild horse is removed from the Virginia Range and taken to the sale yard and not to a wild horse group for adoption it's his fault. Maybe he should move back to California since he refuses to follow our laws here.

Anybody tired of this crap yet. Owners of the land we took from the rightful owners and now slaughterers of the resources. You know what they say " That's Progress"

was it about one year ago, this very same conversation was going on. and here we are again, 22 horses (including 4 foals) are on their way to slaughter, no hope of salvation because the jealous and spiteful have finally had their way: http://www.mynews4.com/mostpopular/story/Nevada-Dept-of-Agriculture-Offered-More-Estray/0hElhYyzakKVg2HoWg0pwg.cspx?p=Comments#_=_ and today, another 16 horses trapped and consigned to slaughter--their only crime? being a wild horse trying to survive a heartless state who cares nothing for them and greedy land developers (who by the way will name their track homes after the horses--isn't that false advertising?) THERE IS STILL TIME TO STOP THE SLAUGHTER! MR. BARBEE--PLEASE STEP UP AND STOP THIS MADNESS!
