WASHOE COUNTY, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- The Cybercrime Unit of the Washoe County Sheriff's Office arrested Brett Adam Doyle of Reno on charges of Sexual Assault of a Child Under the Age of 14 and unlawful use a minor in producing pornography.

The 46-year-old Doyle was initially arrested on Saturday, August 9, 2014 for Lewdness with a Child Under 14 and Child Abuse and Neglect. Through the use of computer forensics, Sheriff’s Office Detectives with the Northern Nevada Cyber Center say they recovered homemade videos and images of child pornography, including video footage of an assault. This material was intentionally deleted or hidden deep inside the computer.

Officials say that computer forensics and digital evidence recovery was the key to solving not only this case, but also another similar case just weeks ago involving 54-year-old Craig Blodgett of Spanish Springs.

At this time, the Sheriff’s Office says they have no indication of additional victims. All charges are related to incidents involving a single victim that took place earlier this year at an undisclosed location in Washoe County.

This is an ongoing investigation. Those with additional information are being asked to contact the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division at (775) 328-3320 or Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900.
