TRUCKEE, Calif. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- The name of the cyclist killed in Truckee over the weekend has been identified.

Truckee Police confirm the rider was 45-year-old Robert Koechlin of Los Gatos, California. Koechlin was visiting the area and riding near the McIvers Roundabout in downtown Truckee when police say he was hit by a vehicle.

Truckee Police Department continues to investigate the collision. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor.

If you saw anything, you are asked to contact Sgt. Womack at 530 - 550 - 2335.
