It's a new year, and many of you are looking for a new diet.

According to 'U.S. News and World Report,' the DASH Diet (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) is the best for your overall health. It was originally developed to lower blood pressure, but the magazine also ranked the DASH diet as the best for healthy eating, and it tied for first in preventing and managing diabetes.

The DASH Diet, which is available for free online, is low in fat and sugar, and emphasizes fruits, vegetables and lean meats.
