Reno, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Reno Police, SWAT and the Drug Enforcement Agency swarmed a Reno neighborhood on July 18, 2013 looking for suspects and drugs.

Reno Police say tonight's search warrant was the result of an ongoing drug investigation by the DEA.

Police say around 3:30 p.m. on July 18, 2013 they were called to assist the Drug Enforcement Agency when they met with a suspect at the Smart and Final Store on Plumb Lane. During that time the suspect fled to a nearby home on the corner of Liston Avenue and Colorado River Road.

Officers were able to catch the suspect while he was running from the home. Around 7:00p.m. SWAT was able to communicate with the other residents inside the home, they eventually came out and no one was injured.

The DEA is now searching the home for dope and weapons. Neighbors who were home at the time of the incident had to stay inside their homes and residents who were coming home were not allowed through until about 9:00 p.m. tonight.

Reno Police Lieutenant Amy Newman says officers appreciate everyone's cooperation while the search was being conducted.

The suspect has not been identified at this time. News 4 will continue to bring you the latest on this story as the details become available.
